Pierre Crube

Pierre Crube composes what he calls 'impatient pop.' These gripping and varied short pieces create a sonic space at once comforting and unusual. Behind this pseudonym hides prolific, talented Montreal artist Simon-Pierre Weiskopf. His compositions relate the (im)pulses of his existence. They oscillate between effusiveness and repression, between pieces that flirt with the commercialism of pop and others that are resolutely twisted, caustic, and enervating. If only all pop could have this freshness!
