This New Yorker is in some ways Minus's official DJ, since she regularly opens for Richie Hawtin. Her unique style combines the essences of funk with minimal techno, and is amplified by her use of Final Scratch – the DJ interface that uses turntables to manipulate audio files. Not content to practice with dexterity the art of DJing, Magda manipulates and remixes her sources, bringing her own personal influence to bear on everything she touches. She also adds her own compositions to her audio files. A 12' that foregrounds her compositional abilities is in preparation for release on Minus.
