The Essential Guide to MUTEK Forum
In parallel to the Festival, the MUTEK Forum is back for its seventh edition from Tuesday, August 24 to Thursday, September 2 on our virtual platform. This marketplace of ideas will bring together artists and companies from the digital creation and electronic music fields to explore the most innovative artistic practices while stimulating reflection on the ethical and political issues related to technology and the digital world. Seven themes will be explored by more than 100 local and international speakers through 60 activities.

For a second consecutive year, the Forum will also feature a virtual market that facilitates networking by showcasing Québec, Canadian and international artists to buyers from around the world. More than 700 participants, including over 200 distributors, representing 400 different organizations and companies from over 50 countries, will gather on the online platform to attend conferences, panels, and workshops, as well as to develop artistic connections and business opportunities.

- WHEN: From Tuesday, August 24 to Thursday, September 2 with a small break on Saturday and Sunday. Nevertheless, all streamed content will be available on-demand until Thursday, September 30.
- WHERE: Online, in our Swapcard virtual platform, accessible via your browser or the app from Tuesday, August 17.
- WHO: Find this year’s selection of over 100 speakers, including their biography and the topic they will cover, on this documented page. You can also review the list of all virtual market participants here.
- WHAT: Manage your schedule and choose among the 60 conferences, panels, case studies, workshops, Q&A, and roundtables offered by consulting our detailed time grid.
- HOW: By purchasing one of the three Forum Passports available. The Regular Passport gives you access to all conferences and profiles of other participants while the Pro Passport also grants you exclusive access to specific networking activities, which will take place every day as part of the virtual market, including thematic roundtables and discussion groups.
