Prifma is a project of live visuals and light installations created by Laura Fuchs (AR) and Mecha I. Oviedo (CU).
Through their visuals, they investigate the dialogue between the intangible virtual world and the physical universe of light. For this, they created their own visual device where, from a webcam and software, they play between displacement and the error-glitch caused by light as it passes through translucent sculptures.
With their sculptures they generate their own crystal poetics, which they travel with the sensitivity of their hands that become cameras, and vice versa. The result is cellular landscapes, an exploration of colors and textures that becomes a journey between the fusion of nature and fantasy.
They have been presented at: MUTEK Montreal, MUTEK Japan, MUTEK Argentina, Artlab, Somerset House Studios (UK), The Wrong - New Digital Art Biennale, Fire House Session 48hs Neukölln (Berlin), among others.
