Developing a dual tech and creative expertise, Amaury La Burthe founded AudioGaming in Toulouse in 2009, focusing on the creation of innovative audio tools. The company was renamed Novelab in 2013 as it started to focus on the creation of interactive and immersive productions on which Amaury often worked as a creative director. His work is mainly focused on new media and spans across immersive/interactive storytelling, video games, VR, AR, interactive documentaries, etc. For Novelab he oversees the global strategy, creation activities including R&D, and global communication.
As a creative director, Amaury has been recognized by multiple awards (Sundance New Frontier, Tribeca Storyscapes Award, SXSW Innovation Awards Finalist, Sheffield Doc/Fest Award) for his work on projects such as Notes on Blindness, Unrest, and -22.7°C. He has participated in numerous successful interactive projects such as Umami, Spheres, Breathe, and Fly, all of which have been selected by major festivals.
