Although his most recent album is titled Never the right time (2021), it's always the right time to enjoy British producer Andy Stott live performance. Especially if his return to Mexico City after seven years coincides with the return of MUTEK MX after two.
Master of textured and seductive techno, Andy Stott has evolved his distinctive sound album after album, taking his collaboration with vocalist Alison Skidmore into realms as dense as they are luminous. His live sets are experienced as an intense hybridization of all the tonalities Stott has been able to achieve in 15+ years of experience: hypnotic loops and abstract ambiences that take us on a danceable and introspective journey.
His return to the big Nocturne 360 dancefloor comes with perfect timing: the backing of an elegant and challenging record career, balanced with the edge and intuition of an artist in communion with his audience. Just this past May he (re)conquered North America with an intense tour alongside DEBIT (another must-see of this Edition 18) to later sweep the European summer festivals.
