Doreen A. RiosMX/US
Doreen A. Ríos (Toluca, Mexico, 1992) is an independent curator and researcher. Her work focuses on technological disobedience within contemporary art, tactical media, and new materialities. Founder of [ANTI]MATERIA, an online platform dedicated to the research and exhibition of art produced through digital media. She was chief curator of the Center for Digital Culture from 2019 to 2021.
A graduate of the Master's Degree in Contemporary Curatorship from Winchester School of Arts, specializing in digital cultures, and a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Art History, Theory, and Criticism at the University of California, San Diego. She is an Advisor on Advanced Technologies at KADIST and is part of the international selection committee for the Lumen Art Prize as well as the Leonardo Peer Review Panel. She is simultaneously a VJ at minipixel and a researcher at the Terrestrial Collective Consciousness Unit.
