Bolzano Marks the Beginning of MUTEK’s European Tour

2024 09 14 MUTEK Plays Transart The Advanced Clubbing HQ TA23 Mutek Stahlbau Pichler Tiberio Sorvillo

After celebrating a quarter-century with the 25th edition of the Festival and the 10th of the Forum, MUTEK embarks on a fall tour in Europe, where we will showcase talent from Québec and Canada alongside local and international artists.

Now an annual must-attend event, the first stop on this tour is the Transart festival in Bolzano, Italy. Since 2001, Transart has offered an adventurous and curious audience a range of musical and contemporary art projects in unusual venues, combining experimentation and excellence.

For this collaboration, MUTEK has been entrusted with programming the festival’s main event: The Advanced Clubbing. Set in the industrial backdrop of Park Edison, this musical evening promises to be both danceable and exploratory.

Curated by Alain Mongeau, General and Artistic Director of MUTEK Montréal, the program brings together three Canadian artists and two international acts

Andrea IT

Following a remarkable North American debut this summer at MUTEK, the Italian artist will open the night with an energetic blend of breakbeat, warehouse techno, and dubstep.

This first stop in Bolzano marks the beginning of a journey that will continue throughout September at other European festivals: Sonica in Glasgow (GB-SCT), Lunchmeat in Prague (CZ), and Bright Festival in Leipzig (DE).

In October, we head to Latin America, where MUTEK has also established roots: Santiago, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City — three metropolises where our festivals have thrived over the years. These events will continue to reflect our commitment to supporting artistic innovation and strengthening cultural exchanges between local and international scenes.

These international collaborations and the promotion of Canadian and Québec talent are made possible thanks to the support of the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec.
