Stacey Van Buskirk has been working in the music and internet industries since the mid 90's. She was part of the team that created the first online technology for collaborative music called Rocket Network (acquired by Avid to become part of Digidesign's DigiDelivery system), where she worked with both leading music software companies including Emagic, Digidesign, Steinberg, Native Instruments, M-Audio, Propellerheads and Ableton; and high-profile artists, producers and engineers like Herbie Hancock, Thomas Dolby, Sinead O'Connor and Stevie Wonder.
Stacey was the Director of New Media at Eyephunk Distribution & Label Group, a distribution company in San Francisco that specialized in electronic music. In the beginning of 2001 she founded echolocation.fm with Anna Sitko (aka anon), an artist collective that includes residents Tipper, Single Cell Orchestra, Basura + R3NDR. Together they have produced a series of ambientech environments that have been created for large festivals and as stand alone events, showcasing the best in electronic music + digital arts.
Stacey currently works as an independent producer for a variety of online and interactive projects including: the online 3D game for HBO's Deadwood; KCRW's Fringe Benefits website; LA.com; and the 8th edition of MUTEK.ca.
