Nick Schofield, an ambassador of ambient music, channels his deep expertise into creating soundscapes that resonate with calm and clarity. Schofield holds a BFA in Electroacoustic Studies from Concordia University and has honed his skills as a technical director for various artistic platforms in Ottawa. His music, deeply inspired by natural and architectural elements, explores the soothing potential of ambient sounds.
His debut album, Water Sine, offered a musical remedy for insomnia, while his later work, Glass Gallery, drew from the aesthetics of the National Gallery of Canada to create immersive auditory experiences. His latest endeavor, Ambient Ensemble, blends distant piano tones with vintage synth sounds, enveloped in natural reverb, crafting an enveloping atmosphere that invites deep listening.
