Few have been more successful in exploring and furthering the intersection between electronic music, visual art, science and technology than Max Cooper. Having earned a PhD in Computational Biology from the University of Nottingham, Cooper simultaneously developed a fondness for electronic music, juggling his studies and a resident DJ spot at a local techno club.

After a brief post-doctoral career as a geneticist, Cooper opts to devote himself entirely to music. His emotionally-charged work focuses on humanity’s place in the world, merging electronic music, visual art and the scientific process through installations, live performance, immersive audio-visual experiences and award-winning music videos. Earlier this year, the prolific artist released his sixth studio album, Unspoken Words, on the aptly-named Mesh label he founded in 2016.

Architecture Social Club (ASC) is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design studio operating in the overlapping domains of art, architecture, music and technology. Endlessly curious, ASC designs and builds tools that shape experiences and spur deeper connections between humans, phenomena and their environment. With research and experimentation firmly embedded in its DNA, ASC merges the material and immaterial in order to create striking works of art that reshape perceptions. Known for its glamorous collaborations, the studio notably presented its work at the National Theatre of Performing Arts in Beijing, at South Africa’s Design Indaba conference and the Smithsonian.
