Atamone

Atamone is a Montréal-born Inuk music producer, multi-instrumentalist and multimedia artist. He has a wide array of interests that manifested in various academic pursuits such as film and 3D animation, sound design and interactive media. For his musical project, he is drawing on these skills as well as his own life experiences acting within underground communities and cultures like hip hop, street art and dance. Since 2011, he's been crafting breezy, uplifting beats, incorporating elements of jazz, soul, hip hop and electronic music. In his music, Atamone plays with the possibilities inherent to analog and digital technologies and by mingling them, finds new exciting ways to mix. By using samplers, drum machines and sequencing instruments along various real instruments, he gives his tracks a sense of timelessness, a cinematic flow. Atamone released music on labels Tour De Manege and Inner Ocean Records.
