With his well-earned respect in North America's underground techno culture, Adam Marshall is one of the prime ambassadors of the Canada's electronic music scene. From deep, late-night house jams to seriously jacking techno music, Adam has a skill for taking listeners into new sonic territory while not losing sight of his basic purpose to move his audiences.
Growing up in Toronto, Marshall took his first steps into music production and DJing alongside longtime friends and fellow producers Jeff Milligan , Mike Shannon , and Jeremy P. Caulfield , who together endeavoured to establish a regional sound of techno that embraced soul, style and substance while remaining distinct from nearby Detroit and Chicago scenes.
In 2001 he launched Killer Recordings , releasing EP's from Jake Fairley , Matt Thibideau , and himself to underground acclaim. Electing to morph the label into New Kanada in 2004, Adam sought out new productions from some of Canada's brightest stars. Focusing on his minimal roots, New Kanada has released a wave of classic tracks and remixes by the likes of Mike Shannon, Jeremy P. Caulfield, Jeff Milligan, Heartthrob , Jay Hunsberger , Brennan Green , Basic Soul Unit and Adam himself.
