The present call is addressed to Argentinians residing at home or abroad, and to international artists currently living in Argentina.
The call for artist proposals for MUTEK.AR Edition 2 is officially open! The festival will be held in Buenos Aires from September 14 to 16, 2018. We invite artists who are working on exploring new aesthetic trends in digital creation and electronic music to submit their projects.
This year, we will focus on three topics, each one with its own form. To apply, please complete one of the following forms that better suit with your work.
1. A/V project proposals
2. VR/AR project proposals
3. ARTLAB 3D SOUND project proposals
The kinds of work we're especially interested in are:
➤ Live, predominantly electronic music performances
➤ Live audiovisual performances featuring innovative use of digital imagery and sound where the audio and visual are considered a singular entity
➤ Interactive and audiovisual installations that could be imagined existing in social space or as encounters on sites and in venues occupied by the festival
➤ Any projects that push boundaries and challenge conventions in the digital creation sphere
We strongly advise applicants to accompany their proposals with live recordings of their presentations. MUTEK focuses on promoting live, real-time performances of original material by the artist. Please note that we will not accept DJ sets.
The deadline for submitting proposals for MUTEK.AR 2018 is June 22, 2018.
