Festival international de créativité numérique et musiques électroniques

Active on the local experimental scene since 2006, Metis Yeti quickly became an important member of the Montreal noise community. After recording his first album in his Verdun home studio, « Dear Despair » was released on the Pasalymany Tapes label. What followed was a series of concerts and a residency at the Swamp Studios. Impressed by what he had heard, Blake Hargreaves from Fluorescent Friends then decided to release a handmade 7’’ limited to 39 copies which was featured in a Brooklyn gallery.

Metis Yeti was later invited to take part in the Montréal en Lumières and Suoni Per Il Popolo festivals and to perform at the prestigious Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) while still multiplying concerts all over the city. Based on the “less is more” concept, the music of Metis Yeti can be as repulsive as it can feel inviting.
