Lars Horntveth & The BIT20 EnsembleNO
Lars Horntveth’s commission work for Ekko Festival features filmatic sequences with nods to classic tradition inserted with experimental repetition in a series of electronic soundscapes inspired by Stranger Things and Isao Tomita. The jazz musician has been working on this commission work for Ekko Festival for many years, and has workshopped the material through the challenging pandemic situation with contemporary music orchestra BIT20 Ensemble. The result is a musical expanding universe where improvised keys and drums from Ståle Storløkken & Axel Skalstad melt together with the harmonious composition in a magic 90 minute orchestra concert.
