Festival internacional de creatividad digital

A key figure in the third wave of Detroit techno, Theo Parrish stands alongside the likes of Moodymann, Omar S, Anthony “Shake” Shakir and others who followed in the footsteps of Carl Craig and further infused a sense of soul and Chicago house rhythms into the city’s techno template. Deeply prolific since his debut in 1995, Parrish has released dozens of EP’s under his own name, as well as under Detroit-based groups such as 3 Chairs (featuring Kenny Dixon Jr.), The Rotating Assembly, and T.O.M. Project (featuring Omar S). Parrish records are typically lush and infused by equal parts jazz and spirituality. Much of his work is released on his own Sound Signature imprint, which has gained renown as one of the most reliable staples of the contemporary Detroit sound. Parrish has been high on MUTEK’s wish list for years, but the opportunity never seemed to present itself. Now, at long last, the time is right, and the festival’s curators couldn’t be more pleased to welcome him.
