Festival internacional de creatividad digital

[NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE]

In the world of disco, Parisian re-edit specialist Pilooski ranks alongside some of today’s most creative hands. A core member of the D-I-R-T-Y crew since 2000, Cedric Marszewski has been leading a wave of producers who are intent on digging up obscure cuts from the 70s and 80s, and reinventing them to today’s cosmic nightclubs.

Marsweski, who first began as a hip-hop DJ and producer in the mid-90’s, found his way to disco through the pioneers of Chicago house. With D-I-R-T-Y, he has reconceived acts like Can (whose Jaki Liebezeit performs at the festival this year), Jackson Jones, Edwin Starr, and many others as slow-burning and tribal extended mixes for the kind of DJ-not-DJ’s who prefer to take a ride through music history’s obscure underbelly, without being tied down to any one decade.
