Festival internacional de creatividad digital

A self-taught Montreal-based musician, Nicolas Dion is one half of electro-acoustic duo Minibloc and one third of experimental trio Intercom; both are leading lights of Montreal micro-label Le Son 666. His solo creations under the pseudonym Darcin oscillate between abstract sonic composition and more rhythmic electronica, halfway between glitch and experimental. Parc, his début – and so far his only full – disc, is downloadable in its entirety via net label Panospria. As Darcin, Dion has performed at the Mutek, Le Placard, Suoni Per Il Popolo, MEG Montreal and Pop Montreal festivals, as well as at radio art festivals This City Is a Radio in Saskatoon and Deep Wireless in Toronto. One of his tracks was also included on the Le Son 666 comp Rythmo Tropicale. Darcin describes his live performances as “electronic music presentations to be listened to with a grain of salt in your late-afternoon cocktail.” Cheers!
