Festival internacional de creatividad digital

BNJMN is a solitary young electronic prodigy hailing from the south of England. His musical curiosity takes him off the beaten path, and yields a distinct hybrid sound – futuristic IDM inspired by the sounds of ‘90s Detroit, underpinned by guttural bass lines. BNJMN defies any attempt at pigeonholing his sound. Not unlike Aphex Twin, Theo Parrish, and Efdemin, he creates sound environments that thrust listeners into a strange dream world of arpeggios and unexpected musical elements. 2011 was truly BNJMN’s banner year, with two releases on Amsterdam label Rush Hour (Plastic World and Black Square) that prominent media outlets (Resident Advisor, Pitchfork, Fact, etc) couldn’t stop raving over. XLR8R also featured him in its Top 20 ‘Best of 2011: New Artists’, alongside Nicolas Jaar and Boddika. 2012 marks BNJMN’s first MUTEK appearance.
