International Festival of Digital Creativity and Electronic Music

The compelling solo project of Austinite Cameron Stallones, Sun Araw draws together influences as varied as 80’s era space-rock, afro-beat, and the underbelly of 70’s fold rock. A member of the communal label Not Not Fun, Sun Araw has released numerous full-lengths and singles.

2008’s The Phynx and Beach Head were considered psychedelic interpretations of the many sources that assembled Sun Araw’s constellation of influence. 2009’s Heavy Deeds was considered by many to be Sun Araw’s best at the time. In 2010, Stallones opened Sun Ark studios, which led to a burst of new material, spearheaded by the album On Patrol, as well as the EP Off Duty. In addition to his work with Sun Araw and Magic Lantern, Stallones is also a contributor to a number of different projects, including Pocahaunted’s Passage full-length.
