International Festival of Digital Creativity and Electronic Music

The French duo Nôze is considered at the forefront of the new school of French electronic producers. Composed of Nicolas Sfintescu, who is co-founder of the popular Circus Company imprint, and Ezechiel Pailhès, a classically trained pianist. Nôze serve up a genre-bending fusion of leftfield references, uniting jazz, hip hop, electronica and techno with hammers, duct-tape and whatever else comes into their messy hands. These shared influences flow effortlessly and ingeniously into stripped-down electro and techno injected with a playful sense of humour, reminiscent of the German tag team Modeselektor, who also play this year. Their live sets are legendary showcases of exuberance, where anything can and does happen and crowds are left behind both inspired and perplexed. If previous live gigs are anything to go by, expect straw hats and striptease!
