International Festival of Digital Creativity and Electronic Music

Robert Mendoza has been an important figure on the Mexican electronic scene since the 1980s. First, he was a member of Artefakto, a post-industrial electronic group, as well as Fussible with Pepe Mogt, and finally the Nortec Collective, from Tijuana, with whom he contributed to the establishment of new genre: a fusion of norteño, tambora, and electronic music. A soloist, whether under the name Panoptica or Mendoza, he continues to examine this fusion by immersing himself in a universe more oriented toward experimentation. His Mendoza project permits him to explore new creative paths, based on a brazenly eclectic and very personal deconstruction of rhythms and styles-mixing influences that amount to, when all is said and done, a prototype of Mexican post-electronica.
