Lux Magna & MUTEK Montréal present:
YlangYlang (Album Launch)
Catherine Debard has roots in Montreal’s experimental music scene, a community in which she has been actively involved for several years. Under the moniker YlangYlang, a solo project she has developed since 2012, she has released records on labels such as Crash Symbols (USA), Phinery (DK), Fluere Tapes (SE) and ΠΑΝΘΕΟΝ (RU). Debard has toured extensively in Canada, and has performed at international music festivals. More recently, she became a RBMA Bass Camp alumni in March 2019, for the National Music Center edition, in Calgary.
Così e Così
Così e Così is the musical project of nomadic Canadian-born poet Vincent Ferrari. He draws from improvised sound experiments to structure songs with hypnotic programming and manipulated rhythms, creating complicated pop songs and ambient drone compositions. He has toured across Europe many times, playing various venues from larger festivals to the corners of Serbia and Turkey. While residing in Montreal he co-founded the collective No Exist, along with No Exist No Fest and No Exist Radio.
Desert Bloom creates electronic soundscapes with intimate melodies, inspired by nature.
